NSBEA membership is open to any person interested in business education.

Member Benefits

  • Attend two annual conventions featuring motivational, technology, and industry speakers: Fall Conference and Summer Conference.
  • Network with fellow business educators to share ideas, resources, and experiences.
  • Foster professional spirit and social fellowship within the NSBEA community.
  • Recognize outstanding business educators through our awards program for their contributions to promoting business education.
  • First and second-year BMIT teachers will be paired with experienced mentors to guide them in their professional development.
  • Apply for scholarships:
    • Kids Scholarship: Open to high school seniors or collegiate students who have a parent as an NSBEA member.
    • Gordon F. Culver Scholarship: Available for collegiate students pursuing business education degrees.
    • Anthony Blum Scholarship: Specifically for collegiate business education students enrolled at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL).

Becoming a Member

Registration Information

NSBEA membership runs on a calendar year basis, from July 1 to June 30. To become a new member or renew your existing membership, please complete your registration at CheddarUp. Select your desired membership level and add it to the cart, then click “Continue” to proceed to the membership form.

NBEA

We encourage all NSBEA members to also join our national organization, the National Business Education Association (NBEA). By becoming a member of NBEA, you automatically gain membership to the Mountain-Plains Business Education Association (M-PBEA).

Membership Levels

Member

Open to anyone in Nebraska with an interest in Business Education. Members pay dues and enjoy full rights and privileges, including voting and holding office

Student

Available to college students in Nebraska interested in Business Education. Student members pay dues but may not vote, hold office, or serve on committees.

Honorary

Granted to retired individuals who were NSBEA members for 5+ consecutive years before retirement. Honorary members pay no dues and may attend the Fall Conference and receive updates, but cannot vote, hold office, or serve on committees.

Professional

Granted to former educators or non-education professionals. Professional members pay no dues and may attend the Fall Conference and receive updates, but cannot vote, hold office, or serve on committees.

The Capitol District is located in the southeast corner of Nebraska. It includes the counties of Cass, Clay, Fillmore, Gage, Jefferson, Johnson, Lancaster, Nemaha, Nuckolls, Otoe, Pawnee, Richardson, Saline, Saunders, Seward, Thayer, and York.

Elkhorn Representative

The Elkhorn District is located in the northeast corner of Nebraska. It includes the counties of Antelope, Butler, Burt, Cedar, Colfax, Cuming, Dakota, Dixon, Dodge, Knox, Madison, Pierce, Platte, Polk, Stanton, Thurston, Washington, and Wayne.

Metro Representative

The Metro District, located in eastern Nebraska. It includes the counties of Douglas and Sarpy.

Panhandle Representative

The Panhandle District is located in western Nebraska. It includes the counties of Arthur, Banner, Box Butte, Cherry, Cheyenne, Dawes, Deuel, Garden, Keith, Kimball, Logan, McPherson, Morrill, Scotts Bluff, Sheridan, Sioux, and Thomas.

The Sandhills District is located in the north central part of Nebraska. It includes the counties of Blaine, Boone, Boyd, Brown, Custer, Garfield, Grant, Greeley, Hamilton, Holt, Hooker, Howard, Keya Paha, Loup, Merrick, Nance, Rock, Sherman, Valley, and Wheeler.

Tri-Valley Representative

The Tri-Valley District is located in the southwest and south central portions of Nebraska. It includes the counties of Adams, Buffalo, Chase, Dawson, Dundy, Franklin, Frontier, Furnas, Gosper, Hall, Harlan, Hayes, Hitchcock, Kearney, Lincoln, Perkins, Phelps, Red Willow, and Webster.
